Our story:
We are a handful of people who want to live on a bitcoin standard. We don’t think that buying gift cards to support fiat stores and banks with bitcoin is a solution. We wanted to put into practice Satoshi’s vision of “a peer to peer electronic cash” that “would allow online payments sent directly from one party to another.”
For those of us who want to use bitcoin as money, it can be a real challenge. We hope we can make that challenge less difficult in our small way.
We sell books. Real books. Books that you own. Books that can’t be censored by forces beyond your control. Owning physical books is the only way to be sure that you can read what you want, when you want, and to share them with your family and friends. This has become more important than ever recently, as is evidenced by Amazon’s long overdue disclosure that you don’t own your kindle books.
We sell real books. You buy them with real money. We only accept bitcoin. That will never change.
